The Dignity Bag Hopes To Change How Cities See Can Collectors


Many people don’t feel compelled to properly dispose of their recyclables, especially when they are out and about. 

Out of sight, out of mind, right? But someone has to collect and properly sort that trash and get it into the hands of facilities that reclaim recyclable materials. In cities like Montreal, there are legions of collectors who collect and recycle items like aluminum beverage cans and glass bottles. These “binners,” as they are called in Canada, go unnoticed, unthanked, and play a vital role in the urban human ecosystem.
