For the 2025 edition, CANPACK used its Quadromix printing technology to manufacture four different tattoo-style designs within a single production run.

According to the company, this approach allows multiple artworks to be applied at scale while maintaining consistency across high-volume output.

CANPACK graphics innovation manager Paweł Kawa said: “Our longstanding relationship with Royal Swinkels is built on mutual trust and ambition. While the designs are Swinkels’ creation, our role is to make them shine, using innovative technologies like Quadromix to turn bold ideas into award-winning packaging.”

The limited-edition programme uses the 50cl can as a recurring creative platform for the 8.6 brand, with CANPACK supporting the execution through its metal packaging processes.

The 2025 visuals were developed by tattoo artist Dodie and have been applied to the 8.6 Original can using Canpack’s Matt finish.

CANPACK said that the selected finishing method is intended to improve visual contrast and enable precise reproduction of detailed artwork.

The company’s role spanned the entire workflow, from initial concept development through to the transfer of designs onto the can surface.

CANPACK’s Quadromix technology was used to deliver variation across the four designs while maintaining production efficiency.

This was combined with finishing techniques designed to support uniform quality throughout the run.

Royal Swinkels global brand manager Afel Amberber added: “The execution is truly a reflection of the collaboration between Royal Swinkels and CANPACK, with passion, creativity and precision technology bringing the whole thing to life in a vibrant and distinctive package.”
