The firm employs 52 staff members.

According to Grenadier Packaging, the acquired facility will maintain its current operations and product range, continuing to run independently from its existing location.

No immediate adjustments are planned for management, daily processes, or supplier arrangements, added Grenadier Packaging.

All employees are expected to be retained and existing agreements with customers will remain in place.

Grenadier Packaging joint managing director Aidan Cahill said: “We are acquiring MM Packaging Leeuwarden with a long-term view and a strong respect for the business that already exists.

“This acquisition represents a considered step in extending Grenadier Packaging’s footprint beyond the UK, allowing us to better support customers operating across European markets and to build a more resilient, diversified packaging group.

“Our focus remains on continuity – giving our support to the existing team, maintaining service levels, and investing responsibly over time.”

This acquisition marks Grenadier Packaging’s sixth transaction to date.

The company added it will work closely with staff, works council members, clients, and suppliers throughout the transition to ensure a smooth changeover.

Grenadier Packaging joint managing director Ross Diamond added: “Our priority through the transition is stability – ensuring customers, employees, and suppliers experience business as usual while the site benefits from the backing of a long-term owner.”
