The two companies plan to combine their areas of expertise such as automation, tailored packaging technology, and supply chain management, to modernise packaging processes.

This partnership is set to continue through at least 2026, with both sides agreeing on a joint strategy aimed at enabling their growth and strengthening customer relationships.

Packsize global partnerships and business development SVP Paul Roy said: “This partnership represents a meaningful step forward for our customers.

“By combining Veritiv’s distribution expertise with Packsize’s on-demand automation, we’re making it easier for companies to adopt smarter packaging workflows that can quickly improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen their operations.”

Central to their plan is the use of automation and precise packaging methods intended to minimise material use and adapt quickly to changing production needs.

By enabling on-demand packaging, the companies aim to help customers handle a variety of product types and fulfilment requirements efficiently.

The approach also allows for quicker production of custom or small-scale packaging orders.

Additionally, the plan includes developing programmes to ease the adoption of new technologies, optimising end-to-end packaging processes for efficiency gains and cost savings.

It also aimed at reducing carbon footprints by minimising corrugated inventory requirements and delivering a more streamlined customer experience through enhanced collaboration.

Veritiv chief growth and innovation officer Stephanie Mayerle said: “Veritiv’s partnership with Packsize reflects our vision to be the preferred speciality packaging distributor, delivering value-added solutions that strengthen relationships and accelerate long-term growth.

“Together, we are helping customers modernise their packaging operations with smarter automation and right-sized packaging solutions that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver long-term value.”

In December 2025, Veritiv introduced TempSafe PalletShield in the US, an addition to its TempSafe cold chain range.

The new product is a bulk pallet shipper made entirely from materials that can be recycled through kerbside collection schemes.
