adapa's PaperFlow(re) P-type Wins Pap'Award in Circularity in Food Packaging Category

adapa Group has been awarded the Pap’Award in the “Circularity in Food Packaging” category for its solution PaperFlow(re) P-type. The award, presented by Pap’Argus and Etiq&Pack, recognizes the company’s ongoing commitment to advancing circular packaging solutions.

PaperFlow(re) P-type combines excellent performance with CEPI-certified recyclability, addressing key requirements for circular packaging. The solution is designed for seamless runnability on existing HFFS and VFFS lines, eliminating the need for additional investment or machine modifications. At the same time, it ensures a strong on-shelf appearance by reducing bends and crease marks, supporting both functionality and visual quality.

The award-winning product reflects adapa’s continuous innovation approach and close collaboration with customers. PaperFlow(re) P-type is constantly being refined and adapted for specific applications. The solution has been developed across multiple adapa sites and is available in various iterations – from standard to high gas barrier structures – all compliant with CEPI and APCOA requirements. PaperFlow(re) P-type can be processed on both vertical and horizontal machines and is also available as pre-made pouches with reclosable zipper functionality.

“This award highlights our approach to innovation – developing solutions that meet the highest technical standards while supporting the transition towards circular packaging. PaperFlow(re) P-type demonstrates how we combine performance, efficiency and recyclability in a practical and scalable way,” says Richard Bell, Director of Innovation at adapa Group.

As the European partner of choice for flexible packaging solutions, adapa Group continues to expand its portfolio of Designed for Recycling solutions, supporting customers in achieving their circularity goals without compromising on performance.

Winning the Pap’Award marks another milestone in this journey and reinforces adapa’s role as a trusted partner in driving the transformation of the packaging industry.
