Amcor Invests in New Printing Line at Hardenberg Facility

Amcor, a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, has made a multi-million-euro investment in a new printing line at its manufacturing facility in Hardenberg, Netherlands. The investment enhances Amcor’s industrial film capabilities, supporting rising demand across markets such as growing media, peat, fertilizers, wood shavings, animal bedding, wood pellets, salts and other bulk materials.

Commissioning of the new line is set to begin this summer, with full operation expected in autumn 2026. The new line will provide additional printing capacity for up to 6,000 tonnes of packaging per annum when fully utilized.

“The Hardenberg investment is part of our strategy to support customers across key industrial and agricultural markets in Europe,” said Daniel Stauber, Sales Director at Amcor. “It strengthens our existing network and improves regional service for customers.”

The new line is a high-performance flexographic printing system designed to deliver consistent, high-quality output at scale, supporting both functional performance and on-pack branding requirements.

The increased capacity and improved responsiveness build on Amcor’s established European network of production, printing and service sites for agriculture and industrial packaging, including Ardeer (UK), Steinfeld (Germany), Zele (Belgium) and Zdzieszowice (Poland).

Stauber added, “The industrial and agricultural markets represent a strong growth opportunity for our business, and this new capability positions us to support customers more effectively across the region, including evolving requirements around material efficiency, recycle-ready packaging and the use of recycled content where suitable.”
