A few years ago, it felt like every brand was releasing sustainability goals they promised to address within 5 to 10 years. Well, now we’ve arrived at those promised dates, and it seems as though sustainability practices are moving in the opposite direction.
Brands that have built their identities around large-format, pantry-staple products are launching on-the-go versions of their hero products, and consumers are buying them enthusiastically, with sustainability concerns left behind.
The most recent example is Bragg, the 112-year-old company behind the apple cider vinegar bottle that’s been a fixture in health-conscious kitchens for generations, just launched On-The-Go ACV Pouches. Also known as single-serve flexible pouches available in a 6-pack at Walmart for $7.99.
