BW Converting will highlight its reclosable packaging innovation and sustainability-minded production solutions at Global Pouch Forum 2026, taking place May 27-29 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
At booth #409, the company will spotlight its Hudson-Sharp Inno-Lok® technology, a patented solution that enables reclosable fasteners and bottom gussets to be pre-applied to packaging films before filling.
First introduced in 1997, Inno-Lok technology helped change how flexible packaging converters and brand owners approach resealable packaging. By applying closures transversely to packaging films, Inno-Lok creates pre-zippered roll stock that can run comparably to standard non-closure films on conventional form-fill-seal equipment. The result is a practical, efficient path to resealable packaging without the need for additional closure application equipment at the filling line.
“For converters, co-packers and brands serving food, pet food, coffee, household goods and other consumer packaged goods markets, resealability continues to be an important packaging feature,” BW Converting notes. “Consumers want packages that are easier to open, close, store and use over time. At the same time, producers are looking for flexible packaging options that support operational efficiencies and evolving sustainability goals.”
“Inno-Lok gives packaging producers a very efficient way to add reclosable functionality without creating unnecessary complexity on the filling side,” said Jason Beauleau, Sales Executive – Bag Converting, BW Converting. “At Global Pouch Forum, we’re looking forward to talking with attendees about how pre-applied closures can help them respond to consumer demand for convenience while supporting faster, more flexible packaging operations.”
BW Converting’s Hudson-Sharp Inno-Lok technology can be used in a range of vertical form-fill-seal, horizontal form-fill-seal, pillow pack and premade pouch applications, supporting both barrier and non-barrier structures. Because the closure and film are delivered on the same roll, the technology can reduce roll changes, eliminate the need for separate closure application equipment, and help producers run faster than many in-line or on-line transverse closure systems.
In addition to reclosability, the Inno-Lok platform also supports EZ-Stand® technology, which pre-applies bottom gussets to roll stock. This allows existing VFFS equipment to produce stand-up bags with only minor equipment changes, helping brands achieve a more shelf-ready package format while maintaining the efficiency advantages of roll-fed production.
The technology also aligns with ongoing shifts in flexible packaging, where converters are being asked to support more SKUs, shorter production runs, greater package functionality, and new material structures. As pouch formats continue to gain traction across multiple consumer categories, the ability to add convenience features without adding unnecessary complexity is becoming increasingly valuable.
“Flexible packaging continues to grow because it delivers real advantages in product protection, shelf presence, logistics, and consumer use,” added Beauleau. “For many applications, resealability is no longer viewed as a premium feature. It’s becoming an expectation. Inno-Lok helps make that functionality more accessible and efficient.”
