Jackrom selects ROTOCON to enhance packaging production

Venezuelan printing business Jackrom has placed an order for a ROTOCON RFP 660S flexo press to serve as its roll-to-roll flexographic press, together with a ROTOCON RD 530mm rotary die-cutting finishing system.

The agreement was finalised at ROTOCON Europe’s base in Siek, near Hamburg, Germany.

The ROTOCON RFP S-Series is a modular, sleeve-based flexographic press with triple servo-driven operation, intended to support quicker job changes and running speeds of up to 200m/min.

It can also be set up with additional modules, including rotary screen printing, hot foil embossing, lamination, multi-layer and booklet label production.

Jackrom managing partner and development and quality director Susana Zaragoza said: “With over 50 years of experience since our founding in 1972, our company’s identity is firmly rooted in our technical knowledge and manufacturing expertise.

“We are constantly looking for ways to elevate our know-how to offer the best solutions on the market. We decided to invest in ROTOCON because its technology perfectly aligns with this vision.”

The ROTOCON RD 530mm rotary die-cutting finishing machine is intended for broader label and flexible packaging work, using a servo-driven design for web handling and register control.

Zaragoza added: “By upgrading to the ROTOCON RFP 660S as a dedicated roll-to-roll flexo press, alongside the independent RD 530mm rotary die-cutter, we are unlocking massive production efficiencies.

“This specific setup allows us to be highly competitive and versatile across our two main business lines: high-volume cardboard packaging and flexible films for stand-up pouches. We expect these machines to drastically increase our output speed, reduce waste, and maintain the impeccable quality our clients demand.”
