The company said both locations have received manufacturing upgrades designed to improve output, consistency and dependability.

The changes cover modifications to current machinery and internal workflows.

At the Ebersdorf facility, further progress in pallet-free manufacturing remains an important part of the plan. The company stated that this aims to reduce handling stages, help maintain steadier product quality and support more efficient use of resources.

At Greven, a higher level of automation is being introduced to make operations more stable, cut material losses and support product consistency.

Mondi has also put an on-site sales team in place at the facility, stating that it is aimed at “enabling closer customer collaboration, faster response times and more tailored packaging solutions”.

The group said safety arrangements at the Greven and Ebersdorf sites have been brought into line with its global standards through workplace improvements and targeted safety training.

Mondi Corrugated Solutions COO Paulus Goëss said: “Together, the upgrades at Greven and Ebersdorf strengthen our ability to deliver consistently high product quality, reliable delivery performance and more sustainable production processes for our customers. At the same time, they reinforce Mondi’s corrugated solutions footprint in Germany and support long-term, reliable partnerships with our customers.”

Mondi took over the Greven and Ebersdorf plants after acquiring Schumacher Packaging’s Western European assets, adding to its presence in Germany.
