Otra Cosecha Takes Pisco Out of the Past and Into the Now

Otra Cosecha Takes Pisco Out of the Past and Into the Now

Pisco is one of South America’s oldest distilled spirits, with roots stretching back to 16th-century colonial Peru, and its packaging has largely looked the same ever since.

However, Otra Cosecha, designed by Ampersand, is pouring something new that I absolutely want to get my hands on. The label is almost entirely yellow, a saturated mustard that mirrors the warm golden color of the pisco inside the bottle. The lettering style looks like liquid in motion, melting and morphing into each other, referencing the distillation process. A small numbered hang tag on the neck reads COSECHA N° X/100, turning each bottle into a limited-edition release and giving the whole thing a collectible weight.
