North American packaging manufacturer Brook + Whittle’s light-blocking shrink sleeve solution, GreenLabel BlockOut, has received recyclability recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR).
The solution is said to have surpassed the voluntary criteria for APR Design for Recyclability Recognition.
The APR Design for Recyclability Recognition programme assesses packaging materials, components, and design to ensure compatibility with recycling systems.
Brook + Whittle’s recyclable solution offers both high recyclability standards and superior protection for light-sensitive products.
In addition, How2Recycle has prequalified the GreenLabel BlockOut solution as widely recyclable with clear polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, reinforcing Brook + Whittle’s commitment to circular packaging solutions.
How2Recycle, a standardised recycling label system, intends to make recycling easier and improve transparency by providing accurate information on how to recycle various types of packaging.
