Saturday Studio Invites You To Have a ‘Sweet July’

Saturday Studio designed a cohesive identity for Sweet July, a brand from Ayesha Curry that encompasses a magazine, storefront, and online hub. The minimalist packaging, featuring clean typography and muted colors, includes shopping bags, magazine covers, and retail items.

Sweet July is a quarterly magazine, an Oakland storefront, and an online hub for self and home—in other words, Sweet July is a lifestyle. From flavorful recipes and stories of community to effortless linens and rejuvenating wellness products, founder Ayesha Curry and her team curate and highlight “an inclusive array of voices and perspectives,” and encourage others to identify their own Sweet July: “It’s a feeling, a thought, a phrase, and I hope it will become a movement.”—Ayesha Curry

Saturday Studio developed the word mark and branding system that is used throughout the Sweet July experience, from shopping bags to magazine covers. From there we created retail packaging for the brick & mortar store and café, unboxing materials for the online shop, and branded bags for Sweet July coffee and tea.

We designed and developed a custom website that combines the editorial needs of an online magazine with the functionality of a full e-commerce shopping experience. It is a one-stop shop for all things lifestyle—“a destination for daily inspiration.”
