ProAmpac, a flexible packaging and material science company, has announced the commercialisation of its ProActive Recyclable Recyclable Paper (RP)-1050 product line.
The new fibre-based, kerbside-recyclable packaging option is intended for tissue products.
Initially introduced in North America, the RP-1050 range has replaced traditional film overwraps in the region, gaining significant commercial success and is now also available in Europe.
The RP-1050 platform, which includes local manufacturing in Europe, underscores ProAmpac’s dedication to global sustainability.
This solution offers brands a recyclable alternative to the conventional plastic film used for overwraps.
ProAmpac product development vice-president Jim Tierney said: “RP-1050 is a prime example of a sustainable product with multiregional applications, helping brands worldwide achieve their sustainability goals. This platform has high water resistance and excellent seal characteristics designed for high-speed fin and lap seal form-fill-seal applications.”
