Bold Scandinavia Adds a Touch of Royalty to Beer Rebrand


Bold Scandinavia, a Copenhagen-based agency, revitalized the Royal Beer brand, giving it a fresh and modern aesthetic while maintaining its core identity. The rebranding effort focused on enhancing the brand’s perceived value and positioning it for broader market appeal.

The rebrand of Royal and the Royal beer portfolio was created to provide the brand with a more distinct and contemporary edge that would evolve and grow the perceived value and quality of the overall brand. Lifting it into a more modern scene and creating a versatile design ensures more possibilities for the portfolio to be present in new categories and segments.

We created a cohesive and consistant design language across Royal’s portfolio and infused distinct character and modernity to create impact and ensure broad appeal among both existing and new consumers.

The Royal brandmark and wordmark have been updated for a more vibrant and fresher look, and at the same time, the portfolio of beers now have improved consistency and a striking graphic identity language, that also extends into comms and marketing materials. The result is enhanced shelf appeal while ensuring brand recognition and loyalty, providing a modern, consolidated look that stands out in the competitive market. It’s a new twist on a well-known category, and Royal has become a brand the target audience wants to be seen and associated with. Cheers to that.”
