Berry introduces customisable packaging solution Chameleon

Global packaging leader Berry Global has unveiled its latest innovation, the Chameleon bottle.

Designed to offer rapid customisation and low minimum order quantities (MOQs), Chameleon is poised to revolutionise the personal care, homecare, and healthcare markets.

The Chameleon’s standout feature is its construction, allowing for a textured base section in ten standard variations.

To cater to specific brand requirements, Berry’s designers can collaborate with customers to develop unique finishes, leveraging a streamlined tooling process for efficient production.

Beyond the base section, the Chameleon’s versatility extends to its neck, which can accommodate various closures, sprays, or pumps.

A range of colours and a generous decoration area for printing or labelling further enhance customisation possibilities.

“The Chameleon can literally change colour and finish, giving customers a blank canvas on which they can create a bespoke packaging solution; and the availability of a textured finish is very much in keeping with the latest trends in the personal care sector,” said Joe Horton, Berry Agile Solutions’ sales and marketing director.

“With our cost-effective tooling and low MOQs, which can be as little as 10,000 units, customers can very quickly develop a unique packaging experience that maximises on-shelf appeal, and at an attractive price.”

Sustainability is a key consideration for Berry, and the Chameleon solution is produced using polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), both widely recyclable where appropriate collection schemes exist.

The bottle can also be manufactured with up to 100% post-consumer recycled PE or PP.

To support the design process for its customers, Berry provides bottle design mock-ups, 3D printing, and in-house artwork design.

Additionally, the company offers on-site silk screen printing for a comprehensive manufacturing and decoration solution.

With typical lead times of four to six weeks for standard bottles and closures and eight to 12 weeks for customised solutions, the Chameleon offers a timely and efficient way for brands to differentiate their products.
