Otto Olive Oil Gives Consumers Two Packaging Vessels To Choose From

Ottimo’s packaging, created by SOMEKIND studio, connects the brand’s ethos to its visual identity. The bold, curvy custom wordmark evokes the oil’s full-bodied flavor, while the secondary typeface contrasts with its soft serif, intended to reflect the balance of fruitiness and peppery notes.

Vibrant, nostalgic colors inspired by Italy’s landscapes take over the design. The glass bottle, ideal for dinner parties, feels premium yet understated, while the tin’s bold branding invites everyday use, showcasing a brand that thoughtfully thinks through the product’s use cases and future scenarios.

Kristel Posen, founder and designer, tells us more about the design process and strategy below.
