Eurostampa partners with Bria and HP on Nutella label design challenge

Eurostampa, a label manufacturer for wine, chocolate, food, and cosmetics packaging, has partnered with Bria and HP to unveil a unique collection of Nutella labels.

The project, known as Envelope 8, leverages AI-driven technology to personalise and transform the brand’s packaging.

The challenge set forth for Bria and HP was to reimagine Nutella’s classic label through the prism of various art movements such as Cubism and Impressionism.

The objective was to turn each jar into a singular work of art, thereby elevating the concept of packaging personalisation to new heights.

Envelope 8’s focus on AI integration resulted in the production of 9,000 labels for the Nutella brand.

Bria’s platform generated custom visuals while adhering to copyright and privacy standards.

Meanwhile, the collaboration with HP’s SmartStream Designer and its HP Spark feature is said to have played an important role in the process.

The software, part of the PrintOS Creativity Power Pack, empowers designers with the tools to create an infinite array of design variations, enabling the automated, AI-powered generation of designs.

Eurostampa marketing and innovation director Riccardo Sauvaigne said: “At Eurostampa, we are committed to fostering innovation and creativity through our partnerships.

“By involving students in real-world projects, we are advancing label design and providing valuable educational opportunities to ensure that our labels meet the expectations of Generation Z consumers.”

In October this year, UPM Raflatac and Eurostampa teamed up on the Envelope 2024 project, highlighting innovative label designs and sustainable materials.
