For Dry January, Halo Top Encourages Folks To Swap Cocktails For Ice Cream

January inspires drinkers to take a break from boozing for at least a month. The timing isn’t coincidental; the holiday season is usually a time of heavy alcohol consumption as part of the festivities, and folks ring in the new year with a set of health-related resolutions, which are generally quickly broken.

But hey, give yourself an “A” for effort, and maybe cancel that new gym membership you stopped using by the second Friday in January (Quitter’s Day).

Better-for-you brand Halo Top, which boasts having fewer calories, less sugar, and more protein than conventional ice cream, is taking a novel approach to “Dry January” by changing its labels to point out the similarities between some of its flavors to popular adult beverages and offering kits inspired by those drinks.
