CUH and IIP collaborate on packaging science research

The Central University of Haryana (CUH) in Mahendergarh and the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) – Delhi have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance research, education, and training on packaging science.

The MoU aims to foster collaboration between the two Indian institutions, enhancing academic and industrial synergies.

CUH vice-chancellor Tankeshwar Kumar and IIP director RK Mishra signed the MoU, witnessed by CUH School of Engineering and Technology dean Phool Singh and IIP additional director and regional officer Tanveer Alam.

During the event, Kumar inaugurated an advanced sustainable packaging laboratory at the university.

He emphasised the partnership’s transformative potential for research and education in packaging technology.

The collaboration is expected to benefit students, faculty, and professionals in the field by increasing opportunities for research and practical training.

Earlier this month, IIP and Ukhi, a provider of sustainable solutions, signed an MoU to advance sustainable packaging solutions in the country.

As per the terms of the MoU, the two organisations agreed to collaborate on joint research and development efforts centred around sustainable packaging materials and technologies.

They also agreed to take part in training and capacity-building programmes for industry professionals, with the goal of raising awareness about the significance of eco-friendly packaging solutions.
