“The combination of Metamark’s broad product portfolio with our existing sales and distribution network allows us to grow also outside of Europe.”

UPM Raflatac has been developing its graphics business, which began with the acquisition of AMC’s graphics division in 2022 and continued with the purchase of Grafityp in 2024.

The graphics applications catered to by this business include indoor and outdoor advertising, signage, and vehicle wrapping.

Metamark CEO Phil Wild said: “In joining the UPM Raflatac Graphics business unit, Metamark is securing a growth-focused future for our highly regarded specialist materials.

“This acquisition reflects the value of our market-led innovation, respected product portfolio, and ambitious plans for market and geographical growth.”

In a recent development, a study by UPM Raflatac and Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies examined the sustainability and performance of their combined packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
