Flint Group opens distribution facility in Montreal, Canada

Flint Group, a manufacturer of inks and coatings for the printing and packaging sectors, has opened a new distribution centre in Montreal, Québec, to expand its support for label and narrow web clients in Canada.

With immediate effect, the facility will store and distribute Flint Group’s water-based, UV-curable, and UV LED dual-curing inks, alongside coatings for narrow web applications, the company said.

Previously, customers in Québec depended on Flint Group’s Toronto facility for their ink supplies.

With this new facility, Flint has not only bolstered its position in the domestic sector, but also doubled its reach in Eastern Canada.

The new location is anticipated to expedite delivery times and also give its customers better access in the region.

Flint Group North America sales and service vice-president Nicki Kerrigan said: “This expansion underscores Flint Group’s commitment to providing enhanced local service and support for customers in the Montreal and Québec region.

“The new facility will ensure customers benefit from reduced delivery times and easier access to high-quality inks and coatings – reinforcing our vision of bringing colour to the world by positioning our products closer to the printers and converters who use them.”

In June last year, Flint Group secured B grades in Climate Change and Water Security disclosures from CDP, a non-profit organisation that assesses corporate environmental transparency.
