Packsize appoints Troy Rydman as new CIO and CISO

Packsize, a sustainable, right-sized, on-demand packaging solutions provider, has appointed Troy Rydman as its new chief information officer (CIO) and chief information security officer (CISO).

With nearly two decades of experience, Rydman has spearheaded cybersecurity, IT, and risk management initiatives across various sectors, including technology, fintech, healthcare, and professional services.

He has a proven ability to develop and scale security functions for international organisations, according to the company.

Packsize CEO David Lockwood said: “We are very pleased to welcome Troy Rydman as a member of our executive team here at Packsize, where he’ll lead our IT, information security, and security operations.”

Rydman has a record of establishing and expanding both IT and security functions, ensuring adherence to complex regulatory frameworks.

He has also played a key role in executing enterprise-wide technology strategies to achieve business success.

In his most recent role as senior practice manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rydman built a cybersecurity consulting practice that improved security postures for Fortune 50 companies.

Before his time at AWS, Rydman held senior cybersecurity leadership positions at Silicon Valley Bank and Fast.

As Packsize’s new CIO and CISO, Rydman will be responsible for managing the company’s IT and security teams.

He will be tasked with leading the development and implementation of IT strategies to protect Packsize’s data and systems while ensuring compliance with evolving security regulations.

Rydman said: “I am excited to join Packsize and contribute to its mission of delivering sustainable, right-sized packaging solutions.

“As technology and security continue to play a critical role in innovation, I look forward to strengthening our digital infrastructure, enhancing data protection, and driving forward-thinking IT strategies that support Packsize’s growth and global impact.”
