Okeanos Announces Distribution Partnership with MCT Dairies

In a move set to reshape the future of dairy packaging, Okeanos, the advanced materials company behind the innovative Made From Stone technology, has announced a strategic distribution partnership with MCT Dairies, a trusted leader in global dairy ingredient solutions.

The agreement enables MCT Dairies to distribute Okeanos’ Made From Stone compounds throughout its extensive dairy client network, offering producers a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to traditional plastic packaging. Made From Stone technology replaces the majority of plastic resin with renewable calcium carbonate to significantly reduce plastic content and carbon footprint while maintaining the durability and barrier properties essential for dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, butter, and creamers.

“As packaging sustainability becomes a key differentiator in the dairy sector, this partnership gives MCT clients access to a proven, scalable solution,” said Ken Meyers, President of MCT Dairies. “We’re excited to provide our partners with cutting-edge materials that align with both regulatory pressures and consumer demand for more eco-conscious choices.”

Dairy manufacturers, who often face pressure to meet performance and sustainability benchmarks, will now have access to packaging solutions that deliver shelf stability, food safety, and reduced environmental impact—all without major changes to current production processes.

“Our collaboration with MCT Dairies is a natural fit,” said Florencio Cuétara, CEO of Okeanos. “Their deep understanding of the dairy industry and longstanding relationships with top producers give us an incredible opportunity to introduce Made From Stone where it can make the most impact—on high-volume, high-visibility consumer packaging.”

With this agreement, MCT Dairies reinforces its commitment to helping clients navigate market shifts with forward-looking innovation, providing tangible tools to meet upcoming sustainability goals.
