Wendy’s and Takis Team Up For the Summer’s Hottest Collab

Wendy’s and Takis Team Up For the Summer’s Hottest Collab

When it comes to the fast food and QSR behemoths of the world, Wendy’s has always felt massively overrated. Aside from being a true, troll-y poster, they introduced classic bangers like Frosties and the budget-friendly Super Bar. But they were also the first fast food chain to introduce a spicy chicken sandwich, lest we forget their place in the ongoing chicken sammy wars.

Now, Wendy’s and Takis have teamed up for a limited-time-only Takis Fuego Meal, which includes a Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich and Takis-dusted fries. The usual Wendy’s spicy chicken features a chili-lime sauce (obviously) and a corn spread and comes topped with crushed Takis. Meanwhile, the fries have been tossed in a chili lime seasoning.

“At Wendy’s, we know how to keep things spicy, and we love serving up fresh, famous collaborations that tap into consumers’ passion points, which made this partnership with snacking favorite Takis, a no-brainer,” said Liz Geraghty, International Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, in a press release. “As consumers lean into spicy food trends, our limited-time meal turns up the heat and flavor intensity in a way consumers can only experience at Wendy’s!”
