ProAmpac Announces Recycle-Ready Packaging for Chunk Cheese

ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging and material science, has announced the commercial launch of its ProActive Recycle-Ready polyolefin-based platform engineered specifically for high-speed chunk cheese applications. This launch marks a significant advancement in Recycle-Ready dairy packaging, offering exceptional performance without compromising shelf life and runability.

The new Recycle-Ready films are designed to withstand the demanding conditions of chunk cheese production. The film provides excellent clarity, ensuring the product and packaging look pristine on retail shelves. It also offers robust puncture resistance and the ability to withstand high temperatures during the high-speed filling process. The advanced sealing technology delivers a very low seal initiation temperature and exceptional seal-through properties, allowing for the mitigation of leak risks on high-speed filling lines.

“These specialized films deliver outstanding abrasion resistance and have successfully passed rigorous transportation testing, ensuring dependable product protection from production through distribution,” said Ebrahim Jalali Dil, global senior innovation at ProAmpac. “With a range of barrier options tailored to different cheese formats and moisture levels, this platform offers the versatility and performance that dairy brands need to maintain freshness and shelf appeal.”

This platform is designed for compatibility with polyethylene (PE) recycling streams. It can incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, offering an environmentally responsible solution for cheese brands pursuing long-term sustainability.

ProAmpac continues to set the standard in responsible packaging solutions, enabling brands to meet their environmental targets with high-performance, recyclable technologies. Those wanting to learn more about ProAmpac’s sustainable solutions can visit ProAmpac at PACK EXPO, September 29–October 1, 2025, at booth SL-15042, or visit ProAmpac.com.
