SunDance introduces cube-shaped pouch packaging

Southeastern US commercial printing and packaging company SunDance has launched a cube-shaped pouch packaging, POUCH³, that reduces material usage by 30% compared to traditional stand-up pouches.

The packaging is based on a low-density polyethylene that ensures flexibility and durability. It maximises content volume by minimising headspace.

The patent-pending POUCH³ cube packaging is produced using in-line equipment and operator training provided by Sun Centre.

In addition to its reduced material usage by utilising a single film process, the new pouch packaging is compatible with eco-friendly films and recyclable foils.

The cube-shaped packaging offers benefits to the consumer-packaged goods industry.

It features larger fill and access openings suitable for contents from snacks to liquids.

SunDance president JohnHenry Ruggieri stated: “SunDance provides a wide variety of flexible packaging to meet client needs, and we are excited to be the first in Florida to offer this game-changing pouch.

“The box-like format of POUCH³ enables six-sided printing and optimal stackability, making it an instant hit with product marketers.”

SunDance offers customisation options, including full-colour digital printing with variable data, and the use of clear, white or metalised films for different levels of visibility, protection or opacity.

Clients can also opt for custom finishes such as soft-touch laminate, spot UV and foil accents to make packaging stand out on the shelves.

Located in Orlando, Florida, SunDance manufactures custom flexible pouches, folding cartons, boxes and labels.
