Founded in 2010 by Pushminder Judge and Paul Judge, Axium has grown from a small operation with six desks and three machines in Mississauga, Ontario, to a network of 25 facilities across North America.

The new Brampton facility is designed to enhance Axium’s ability to deliver quicker and more sustainable packaging offerings.

It features 45 packaging equipment lines for injection stretch blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding, alongside finishing and decoration capabilities.

The plant is completely integrated into Axium’s enterprise resource management system, optimising operational efficiency.

Sustainability is a key focus, with the facility housing ten plastic resin silos, of which three store post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic.

“Axium uses PCR in as much as 30% of its packaging solutions, and its silo technology allows it to transition to greater PCR storage to meet rising demand,” the company stated.

This capability supports customers in achieving sustainability goals while maintaining speed, consistency and quality.

Positioned near Axium’s first facility and warehouse, along with Toronto Pearson International Airport and key customer partners, the Brampton plant reduces travel and delivery times, lowering environmental impact and production costs.

Operations at the facility are already underway, with expectations of additional jobs and strengthening Axium’s capacity to serve Canadian and North American consumer product companies across personal and home cleaning supplies, food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and nutrition products.

The opening coincides with Axium’s 15th anniversary.
