Sources indicated the combined Asia businesses could be valued at $1bn.

The discussions are ongoing and may not lead to a transaction.

Geminder owns a 50% stake in Dynapack Asia and the remaining shares are held by entities controlled by the Hambali family.

The other owners of Dynapack Asia are deciding whether to join Geminder in a possible sale.

Neither Dynapack Asia nor Pact Group replied to requests for comment.

Geminder is chairman of Dynapack Asia, which was founded in 1959 by Soebekti Hambali7 and is led by chief executive Tirtadjaja Hambali.

Dynapack manufactures bottles, jars, tubes and moulded parts, serving sectors including personal and baby care, food and beverage, home cleaning and pharmaceuticals.

The company lists clients including Coca‑Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Shell and Unilever, and operates offices in Bangkok, Jakarta and Singapore.

Geminder established Pact Group in 2002.

In July 2025, the company withdrew from the Australian Securities Exchange and stated in a regulatory filing that it would keep assessing its Asian packaging and closures operations, including possible disposals.

The filing also showed the group’s net debt increasing by 18.4% in the most recent financial year to A$496m ($328m).

In February 2024, Dynapack Asia entered a partnership with AeroFlexx, a liquid packaging company, to address demand for sustainable liquid packaging solutions in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations region.
