Chick-fil-A Celebrates 80th Anniversary With ‘Newstalgic’ Packaging

Coinciding with its 80th anniversary, fast-food chain Chick-fil-A has announced it is kicking off a year-long “Newstalgia” campaign, featuring a chance to win free food for a year, new permanent menu items, and retro-inspired packaging.

The “newstalgic” packaging includes four different cup designs from throughout Chick-fil-A’s brand history. The first cup to drop is the Doodles Classic, featuring the chain’s first mascot, the rooster Doodles, from 1967. The next cup, Lemon Chicks, depicts the sunny citrus squad, which first appeared 25 years ago to promote the introduction of lemonade in Chick-fil-A. The Cows, from the brand’s iconic advertising campaign, are the stars of the last cup design.
