In a statement, the company said: “This phased approach ensures that Looije Group continues to meet the demand for high-quality packaging services, without compromising on quality and delivery reliability.”

The new location is expected to reinforce Looije Group’s activities in the fruit and vegetable supply chain.

Services at the facility include sorting, packing, repacking, and labelling produce for wholesalers, growers’ associations, and exporters.

The company has a network of sites at Ridderkerk, Rotterdam, Waddinxveen, and Strijen.

Looije Group owner Piet Looije said: “With the new location in Ridderkerk, we are creating unlimited opportunities to serve our customers even better.”

Facilities at Ridderkerk include systems for sorting and packaging as well as track-and-trace capabilities.

Looije Group was established by Piet Looije and provides packaging services for the international fruit and vegetable sector from multiple locations across the Netherlands.

Jesper van den Bosch assumed the role of managing director at Looije Group in October 2025.

He took over daily management responsibilities from Wilbert Nederpelt, who will stay on as a strategic adviser.
