Toro Pinto’s Design For Mexican Gin Ometeo Explores Duality Of Existence

  • Mexican design agency Toro Pinto designed the brand identity of gin Ometeo.
  • Inspired by the Aztec god Ometeotl, Toro Pinto’s design explores duality and uses it as a major theme throughout Ometeo’s brand identity.

When one thinks of Mexican spirits, tequila is perhaps the first thing that comes to mind. However, there is a growing number of gin distillers from the Aztec nation.

Emerging Mexican gin makers aren’t just copying more familiar styles like London Dry. Instead, they are using native botanicals to create distinctive spirits, and these brands are also looking to Mexican art and design for their branding identity.
