BakPac Installs 7th Pouchmaker

BakPac has installed its 7th pouchmaker, representing another decisive step in scaling its UK flexible packaging manufacturing capability while strengthening the agility its customers rely on.

The installation is about producing more, across more jobs, with more flexibility-without slowing down. This latest installation-BakPac’s 6th Galaxy press-replaces its original Galaxy pouchmaker from September 2023, bringing the company’s entire pouchmaking operation up to a single, high-performance standard.

Since introducing Galaxy technology, BakPac has continuously expanded-most notably last year with two additional pouchmakers to increase UK pouch manufacturing capacity.

With the new addition, all five Galaxy pouchmakers can run any job, at any time.

That means:

  • No machine restrictions
  • No scheduling bottlenecks
  • No inconsistent output
  • Faster turnaround
  • Smarter scheduling
  • Reliable, repeatable quality

“The previous machine limited what we could run,” said BakPac Production Supervisor Harvey Dailly. “Now, every machine can take any job. That gives us full flexibility, and that changes everything in how we plan and deliver.”
