The Beer That Turned Its Bottle Into a Bee

The Beer That Turned Its Bottle Into a Bee

Craft beer hasn’t really done anything lately to excite me. To be honest, most of the packaging looks the same or is pulled from the same inspiration.

That said, Kakia Melissa, designed by Vorá Design Studio, is almost absurdly simple. The design features alternating horizontal bands of deep black and golden yellow that wrap the dark glass bottle from base to shoulder, turning the entire thing into a bee.

Flip the bottle upside down, and a downward-pointing chevron at the bottom of the label completes the stinger, a detail so clean and committed it makes you wish more brands were just as witty. The shipping boxes continue the design, just the brand name in that same serif stamped large on raw kraft, and the black crown cap stamped with KM in gold finishes the whole system without a single wasted move.
