26 Pickle Packaging Designs We’re Loving

In one of my early Shelf Life newsletters, I wrote about how pickles were trending pretty hard. And I’m not just talking about the fermented cucumber pickles but pickled flavored everything. From Goldfish and ketchup to ranch-whatevers and juice, the salty green briney flavor is taking over the CPG space.

As an ode to my favorite salty snack, I’ve compiled a list of all my favorite pickle packaging designs. The list includes actual pickles, yes—think Gen Z-ified pickles and Grillo’s pickle de gallo—but it also includes examples of how brands infuse the flavor in unexpected ways. From Hidden Valley Ranch’s pickle flavor to Ithaca’s pickle hummus, almost nothing is left unpickled. The trend isn’t slowing down any time soon, and I’m here for it. I am now just waiting for a canned pickle martini.
