Dad Coffee Roasters Turns its Boxes Into a Psychedelic Art Drop

Specialty coffee releases often compete to achieve the most minimalist box possible, but DAK Coffee Roasters and Koppel Studio just dropped the Neon Milk release, and it looks like a psychedelic fever dream.

The swirling pattern covers every surface of the box and is printed in a neon spot color that simply cannot be achieved with standard printing, giving the coral and orange wave forms a vibrancy and luminosity that makes the package feel lit from within.

At the center of the swirling composition sits a simple, loose line drawing of a figure cradling a cup, rendered in the same tonal family as the background, so it emerges from the pattern like a vision rather than a graphic placed on top. The clean white label on the front is also a smart design decision, its crisp utilitarian typography providing exactly the right amount of calm contrast against the surrounding chaos. The Neon Milk packaging takes a creative risk by pushing into territory that feels completely new for this space.
