SunDance and Sun Centre have widened their capability to supply POUCH³ for customers seeking alternative packaging designs and production efficiencies.
The POUCH³, which is patented by Sun Centre, is designed to use 30% to 40% less material than a standard stand-up pouch.

Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
It also reduces headspace, allowing for greater product volume within the pack.
Sun Centre USA owner Jim Pease said: “In addition to significant cost reductions and a lower carbon footprint, our game-changing cuboid pouch offers exciting new benefits.
“The single-film process streamlines production, and the ability to print on all six sides expands branding and design opportunities.”
SunDance manufactures the pouches on in-line machinery built by Sun Centre and can run them across several material structures, including sustainable options.
The company is working with clients on tailored uses of POUCH³ for 2026 packaging marketing plans.
The format is intended for a range of applications. In food and beverage, these include granola, snacks, powders and other dry goods, according to SunDance’s website.
In pet care, the pouch can be used for treats, supplements, food and litter.
Health and wellness use include protein powders, bath soaks and packs for individual items.
Household applications include laundry pods, cleaning concentrate tablets and powders.
The pouch is available with a range of finishing and closure options. These include matte, gloss and soft touch laminates, along with Spot UV or foil detailing. Zip formats offered include standard, child resistant and powder zippers.
SunDance president JohnHenry Ruggieri commented: “Flexible pouches own the lion’s share of the flexible packaging market, and the POUCH³ is one of the most compelling innovations we’ve seen in recent years.
“Product marketers are already creating new uses for it, with exciting implications for the consumer packaged goods market.”
Last month, SunDance expanded its internal packaging production with the addition of an HP Indigo 200K digital press.
The press will increase capacity for flexible packaging wraps, custom pouches, and pressure-sensitive labels.
