Miller Lite Wants You To Trade In Your Old Soccer Ball For One That Holds Beer

  • Miller Lite’s World Cup campaign features a specially designed soccer ball called the “Matchball.”
  • The beer brand’s Matchball isn’t meant to kick around with friends. Instead, the oversized ball holds 12 cans of Miller Lite.

FIFA’s World Cup is once again upon us, and Miller Lite is the latest beer brand to join in on the soccer celebrations with a specially-designed “MVP Matchball.”

The Miller Lite Matchball is about 1.5 times the size of a regulation ball, with white hexagonal panels and gold pentagonal panels. Since this ball isn’t designed to be kicked around on the pitch during World Cup matches, there are no VAR (Video Assistant Referee) microchips inside.
