Le Méridien Saigon’s Mooncake Box Opens Up Like a City at Night

Le Méridien Saigon’s Mooncake Box Opens Up Like a City at Night

Mooncake gifting has become one of the most design-forward realms in packaging, and Le Méridien Saigon’s 2025 Mid-Autumn box, designed by Bracom Agency, continues to raise the bar. The concept is a miniature travel trunk, complete with riveted edges, a leather-style handle, and fold-out drawers, built in two colorways.

The cleverness of the structure is that the illustration is staged across the opening sequence, first glimpsed through a small window on the closed exterior, then fully revealed as the trunk unfolds, which turns the unboxing into an entire moment rather than an afterthought. In a mooncake market that has long defaulted to red-and-gold lacquer boxes, this one feels like an entire love letter to travel under the Mid-Autumn moonlight.
