Florida Crystals unveils updated graphics on packaging

Florida Crystals, a US fully integrated sugarcane refining company, has introduced new packaging graphics as it celebrates National Organic Month.

The new packaging is designed to showcase the Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) status of the company’s raw sugarcane product.

The packaging highlights its commitment to quality, minimally processed homegrown products.

The ROC certification is awarded to companies that adhere to the standards of both organic and regenerative agriculture.

The achievement means Florida Crystals’ farmers primarily focus on soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness.

Florida Crystals research and development vice-president Diego Luzuriaga said: “Our journey in regenerative agriculture has been transformative, and as we celebrate National Organic Month, we reaffirm our commitment to helping reverse climate change by taking carbon out of the air and putting it back into the soil where it is needed.

“We hope to inspire others to take action in creating a healthier planet for future generations.”

In addition to the new packaging, Florida Crystals announced that its compost facility has produced more than 100,000 tons of compost in a single season, a first for the company.

The facility is located within the company’s sugar milling complex in Pahokee, Florida.

Designed for sustainability, the facility also transports 80% of composting materials via conveyor belts or pipes, thus significantly cutting down on transportation emissions.

Luzuriaga added: “This facility embodies our vision of creating a closed-loop system where every byproduct is upcycled to enhance the health of our soil and the vitality of our crops.”
