Ranpak launches three new automated packaging solutions

Ranpak Holdings, a provider of sustainable paper-based packaging solutions, has unveiled three new automated packaging solutions.

The company noted that these products are designed to integrate automation with protective paper technology, offering enhanced productivity, quality, consistency, and sustainability for e-commerce and industrial supply chains.

The first of this new portfolio, PadPak Multi-Station, is now available to customers across Europe.

This system, which combines the advantages of automation with eco-friendly paper packaging, can supply a steady stream of paper cushioning to as many as ten individual pack stations.

It features an automated line where a single central PadPak paper converter can supply fully recyclable, biodegradable, and renewable paper pads to multiple packing stations without interruption.

In addition, Ranpak’s DecisionTower with FillPak Trident utilises computer vision to measure voids within packages and dispense the correct amount of paper void fill.

This technology leverages the machine vision capabilities of the DecisionTower to ensure the correct amount of paper void fill material is used. The FillPak SL variant of the machine is also offered within the US market.

The third product, Pad’it!, automates the application of paper pads to the top, bottom, or both of a box within a packing line.

According to Ranpak, the Pad’it! solution inserts a waved paper cushioning pad, providing an extra layer of protection inside the package.

These three solutions demonstrate Ranpak’s focus on sustainable packaging, based on more than 50 years of experience.

In May last year, European packaging distributor RAJA partnered with Ranpak to develop sustainable cushioning packaging solutions.

The collaboration aimed to address the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging in the e-commerce and industrial supply chains, offering protection against shocks and temperature variations during transit.
