AIFPP and BIGC partner to foster global talent in printing and packaging sector

China’s Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication (BIGC) and the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers (AIFPP) are said to have come to a cooperation agreement.

The partnership seeks to promote global cooperation in printing, packaging, and publishing education, enhancing both academic and industry connections between India and China.

The discussions were headed by Professor Kamal Mohan Chopra, representing AIFPP, along with senior officials from BIGC, including Liu Jiemin, deputy secretary of the company’s Party Committee.

Chopra said: “This partnership between AIFPP and BIGC marks a milestone in the printing and packaging industry. By leveraging our collective strengths, we can nurture global talent, drive innovation, and set new standards of excellence in academia and industry.”

Key aspects of this collaboration include student and faculty exchanges, specialised training programmes, the establishment of a joint research and development centre, and an international alliance for publishing education, as well as events and competitions.

The meeting ended with a reported shared commitment to establishing long-term cooperation between India and China in the printing and packaging sectors.

AIFPP and BIGC say they are dedicated to developing a global ecosystem that fosters innovation, education, and industry advancement, opening up fresh opportunities for students, educators, and professionals.

Jiemin said: “The establishment of the publishing education international alliance will create a platform for global cooperation, and we warmly invite Indian institutions to join us in this endeavour. Together, we can shape the future of printing and packaging education.”
