Tempest selects Cruz Foam for eco-friendly packaging

WeatherFlow-Tempest, a provider of weather technology solutions, has teamed up with Cruz Foam, a company focused on sustainable materials, to incorporate eco-friendly packaging solutions for its products.

The initiative aligns with Tempest’s aim to reduce its environmental footprint and advance sustainability within the technology sector.

This collaboration will see Tempest switching to Cruz Foam’s compostable and biodegradable protective packaging, which is claimed to be an alternative to traditional petroleum-based foams.

Cruz Foam stated that its products are crafted from naturally sourced materials, and offers packaging that delivers protection while minimising environmental impact.

Cruz Foam co-founder and CEO John Felts said: “We are thrilled to partner with Tempest in advancing sustainable packaging solutions.

“Their commitment to sustainability extends beyond their technology and into the entire customer experience, setting a strong example for responsible business practices.

“Together, we’re proving that innovation and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.”

The new packaging will be launched alongside Tempest products in June this year.

Tempest CTO David St John said: “Tempest is dedicated to innovation, not just in weather technology, but also in how we operate as a responsible business.

“Partnering with Cruz Foam allows us to take a significant step toward eliminating single-use plastics in our packaging and brings more of our production closer to the source without increasing costs, all while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”
