Georgia-Pacific names new president for Corrugated segment

Keith Hamilton has been appointed as the new president of pulp and paper company Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated business segment.

In his new role, Hamilton will be responsible for leading operations and commercial teams across an extensive network of 35 sites, comprising box plants, sheet feeders, and digital print and mailer brands.

Since joining Georgia-Pacific in 2018, Hamilton has served as the regional area operations leader for the Corrugated business.

His tenure at the company has been marked by contributions to Georgia-Pacific’s safety initiatives and the development of its principle-based culture.

Hamilton’s career before Georgia-Pacific included roles at General Motors and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, alongside his service as a nuclear plant operator in the US Navy.

Georgia-Pacific Packaging and Cellulose executive vice-president Pat Boushka said: “We are thrilled to have Keith lead our integrated Corrugated business. His extensive knowledge of our manufacturing operations and people makes him uniquely qualified for this opportunity.

“He has been an integral part of the transformation within Georgia-Pacific Corrugated, and we believe his principled leadership and collaborative team building will be instrumental in the long-term success of our organisation.”

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Hamilton is involved in industry organisations. He is a board member of the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, the Corrugated Packaging Council, and the Association of Manufacturing Excellence.

He also contributes to the Fibre Box Association Safety Committee.

His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Florida State University and master’s degrees in both mechanical engineering and management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both in the US.

Keith said: “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to lead our Corrugated organisation and eager to continue advancing our packaging vision of one team working together to achieve results.”
