TricorBraun WinePak Launches Full Service Offering for Wine Sustainability

TricorBraun WinePak, an industry leader in stock and custom wine bottle packaging, has announced EcoStep, a first-of-its-kind, full-service offering designed to help wineries of all sizes simplify the process of reducing their environmental impact while underscoring to their customers their commitment to sustainability.

“Consumers are increasingly demanding more sustainable solutions from their wineries, and they are willing to trade up to support those that share their values,” said Kathy Brooks, Senior Vice President & GM. “We believe sustainability should be accessible and achievable. EcoStep was created to simplify that journey—offering trusted, eco-conscious packaging options that allow wineries to take real steps toward a more sustainable future for their brand and our planet.”

The EcoStep Comprehensive Offering Includes:

  • In-stock, Ready-to-Ship Sustainable Packaging Options – Lightweight bottles made in North America and recyclable screwcap closures, available in various colors to match any brand.
  • Recyclable Kraft Cartons – Unbleached cartons made of 70% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials and chain-of-custody certified products. Kraft cartons, when compared to the bleached alternatives, have reduced the use of water, energy, and chemicals.
  • Knowledgeable Packaging Consultants – Invested in every step of the process, ready to advise wineries on finding the perfect sustainable solution for their brand.
  • Specialized EcoStep Logo and QR code – A consumer-facing logo reserved for bottles and cartons that incorporate core sustainability factors, such as bottle weight, manufacturer location, and environmentally responsible practices across the supply chain.

TricorBraun WinePak also uses a sophisticated Lifecycle Analysis (LCA) tool to evaluate the full supply chain impact of the bottles included in its EcoStep catalog. As a result, only packaging that meets key sustainability criteria earns the EcoStep logo.

Brooks added, “While most suppliers focus solely on offering lightweight bottles, EcoStep takes sustainability one step further with a complete offering that includes pre-vetted vendors and packaging solutions coupled with our knowledgeable packaging consultants. Because at TricorBraun WinePak, sustainability isn’t just a priority—it’s part of everything we do.”
