‘The Onion’ Adds Another Layer To Its Business, Announces ‘America’s Finest Creative Agency’

Nazcal Invites You To Turn On, Tune In, and Drop Out

Since 1988, the fine folks at satirical newspaper The Onion have delivered acerbic and insightful wit with masterful irreverence.

Now, Global Tetrahedron, The Onion’s parent company, aims to use its talent for satire in the advertising world by launching an advertising shop called “America’s Finest Creative Agency” (AFCA), a nod to The Onion’s longstanding slogan, “America’s Finest News Source.”

“We’re leveraging the considerable talents of The Onion staff in the service of creative marketing,” Global Tetrahedron CEO Bryce Tetraeder said in a press release. The announcement further notes, “that nothing—not spouses, not children, not fragile elderly parents—matters more to The Onion’s parent company than helping brands tell their stories and being unspeakably compensated for it.”
