Inside the 7th Environmental Packaging Summit

The 2025 Environmental Packaging Summit, part of the Environmental Packaging Live series, takes place at London’s Kia Oval on 24–25 June.

Over two days, delegates will hear from over 40 industry experts across manufacturing, design, technology, sustainability, and supply chain.

With open panels, fireside chats and roundtables, content is designed to dig into granular issues—from the economics of sustainable innovation to the logistics of effective recycling.

Sessions will cover carbon‑footprint measurement, supply‑chain complexity, decoration and ink impacts, and policy updates like Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Why the summit comes at a crucial time

As the packaging sector scrambles to meet tougher environmental targets, this summit offers a rare chance for cross‑sector dialogue. Manufacturers, recyclers (such as RECOUP), brand owners, designers and government bodies like DEFRA will convene.

With an intimate format capped at around 200 attendees last year, the event encourages candid discussion and direct networking, allowing participants to exchange ideas on real‑world challenges and solutions in sustainable packaging.

Connecting across the sector

Delegates benefit not just from insight, but also connections. Alongside panels, this year’s summit features ample networking time—cocktail breaks, interactive roundtables and informal mingling.

On the evening of 24 June, the Environmental Packaging Awards—now in their third year—will present accolades across 20 categories, covering FMCG packs, business performance and sustainable excellence.

The event is co‑hosted by Packaging News and supported by associations including INCPEN, OPRL, Pack UK and WRAP.

Looking ahead

With a focused agenda, strong expert line‑up and intentional peer networking, the Summit promises a timely forum as the packaging world adapts to regulatory pressures, decarbonisation targets and evolving consumer demands.

Delegates will leave equipped with deeper insight—and valuable contacts.
