Honey Department’s Brand Identity Lays It On Thick (and From an Aluminum Tube)

  • Honey Department is a new honey brand that, unlike conventional liquid honey, is thick and can be packaged in an aluminum tube.
  • The brand identity, courtesy Honey Department’s founder Noah Phillips’ creative studio Foreign National, is an irreverent lampoon of the corporate world.

When we think of honey packaging, bear-shaped bottles come to mind. Unless you’re like me, and you get a Costco-sized container, which takes months to go through. In the meantime, it crystallizes and runs down the sides.

Obviously, not all honey comes in cute grizzly jars, and a new entrant into the category, Honey Department’s sweet stuff, doesn’t either. In fact, Honey Department sells “thick honey” and packages it in a squeezable aluminum tube.
