Alba’s Sparkling Margarita Is All About Celebration

Alba’s Sparkling Margarita Is All About Celebration

For the ALBA Sparkling Margarita Día de Muertos limited edition, designer Rodolfo Baqiuer transforms the packaging into a vibrant tribute to one of Mexico’s most visually rich cultural traditions.

At the center sits a stylised sugar skull illustration surrounded by symmetrical illustrations of flowers, birds, stars, and flames, all rendered in a playful folk art style inspired by traditional Día de Muertos iconography.

The typography follows the same celebratory rhythm, with rounded, expressive letterforms for ALBA that mirror hand-painted festival signage while maintaining strong readability. What makes this design particularly exciting in the ready-to-drink beverage category is its embrace of cultural storytelling through illustration while keeping the layout clear. The result is a limited edition multipack that celebrates art, tradition, and shared moments.
