- Frozen burrito brand Bad Hambres recently updated its brand identity after achieving social media virality.
- Working with Cactus Country, the Bad Hambres refresh is a refinement of the existing identity that nods to its homegrown Phoenix roots.
Arizona is known for some of the best Mexican food north of the border. Done right, something as simple as a bean-and-cheese burrito is deliciously satisfying. Hearty, well-cooked beans, coupled with cheese and salsa, and wrapped in a tortilla, are filling, portable, and a quick fix anytime.
Burrito-obssessed Hank Murphy from the Phoenix valley area started making these bean-and-cheese bombs at home and selling them out of a cooler, a common side hustle. Eventually, Murphy left his corporate job to turn sling burritos full-time, but rather than going door-to-door, he turned to something much more efficient: selling burritos via weekly online drops. Hank soon pitched the idea to his wife, Sam, an entrepreneur and brand designer by trade, andBad Hambres (“Bad Hungers” in Spanglish) was born.
